An Evening With Robert Macfarlane and Jackie Morris

An evening with 'The Lost Words' author, Robert Macfarlane, and illustrator, Jackie Morris, in aid of Sobell House Hospice, supported by Blackwell's of Oxford.

Join author Robert Macfarlane and artist Jackie Morris in the illustrious setting of Oxford’s Sheldonian Theatre for an evening of talk, music and live painting centered around 'The Lost Words', a book that has become a cultural phenomenon.

Robert and Jackie are collaborating with Sobell House Hospice to bring 'The Lost Words' exquisite illustrations and dazzling nature spells into the heart of the hospice as large-scale artworks in the new Garden Annex, currently being built.

In this unique event, on 23rd November, they will talk with Dr Rachel Clarke of Sobell House about the relationship of nature, hope and love, about the inspiration behind 'The Lost Words' - and why they care so deeply about bringing nature to patients at the end of life.

Immediately after the event, there will be a fund-raising auction, including original artwork kindly donated by Jackie, held in Blackwell’s Oxford.

All proceeds from the event will help Sobell House to install and showcase 'The Lost Words' in the hospice.
