The aim of our Palliative Day Services is to support and maximise independence and wellbeing of people with cancer and other progressive life limiting conditions, through a multidisciplinary approach. We try to reach as many people as we can in these situations, increase the benefit and value of their time with us, and maximise their resilience and independence.
We offer an Individualised 12 week programme for patients who require palliative day service and have been referred to Sobell House.
Currently, as part of a research study, we are also running an 8-week educational programme for people with heart failure at any stage following diagnosis. This is run in collaboration with colleagues in the cardiology team at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Oxford Health Foundation Trust, and research colleagues at Oxford Brookes University.
