The following complementary therapies are offered to patients and carers in the inpatient unit and to those attending the Cay centre. Some sessions are also available to Sobell House outpatients.
The therapies available are:
- Aromatherapy – the use of essential plant oils
- Bowen therapy –involves light moves made over the soft tissue at specific parts of the body
- Massage – provides relaxation to the body and mind
- Reflexology – gentle massage to reflex points in the hands and feed which correspond to all areas, systems and parts of the body
All treatments are planned on an individual basis and are free of charge for patients and carers. They can usually last from 10 to 50 minutes. Treatments are allocated according to your needs and are reviewed on a regular basis.
Referrals can be made by any member of the Sobell multi professional team; alternatively, patients of Sobell House are very welcome to self refer.
