This agreement tells volunteers what they can expect from us, and what we hope from them.
We, Sobell House, will do our best to:
- Provide each volunteer with an introduction and relevant training
- Provide volunteers with a meaningful and purposeful volunteering role
- Provide volunteers with a support system, and relevant and up to date information
- Provide volunteers with a clear role description, code of practice, and set of relevant policies
- Reimburse out of pocket expenses incurred by volunteers during their agreed volunteering activities
- Provide a safe working environment
- Treat volunteers in line with the equal opportunities policy
- Provide insurance cover for volunteers
- Provide recognition and thanks
We ask that volunteers will:
- Support the aims and objectives of Sobell House
- Attend relevant volunteering training sessions
- Follow the Sobell House Volunteer Code of Conduct, policies, and procedures as contained within the Volunteer Handbook
- Work within the boundaries of their volunteering role description
- Under no circumstances divulge confidential information to unauthorised persons
- Inform the Voluntary Services Manager of any queries or concerns that they may have
- Inform the Voluntary Services Manager, at the earliest date possible, if they wish to change the nature of their volunteering, or are unable to volunteer
