Volunteer driver

Sobell House volunteer drivers transport patients in a safe, efficient, and understanding way between their homes and Sobell House. They may also collect or deliver small items of equipment from/to a patient’s home.

Volunteer drivers undertake their role Monday - Friday, 8.30am - 4.30pm. There is flexibility around how many runs a volunteer will undertake each week, dependent on volunteer availability, and patient and volunteer location. We are looking to recruit volunteer drivers throughout the county.

Volunteer drivers must present a current and original driving licence, MOT certificate, and insurance certificate which allows for the transportation of others as a volunteer.

Sobell House shop volunteers

Sobell House have Charity shops throughout Oxfordshire which rely on volunteers’ enthusiasm, commitment, and skills to support their success.

All shops are run by a paid manager and the rest of the staff are volunteers. If you are interested in helping at one of the shops, please get in touch either directly with the shop concerned or e‑mail sobell.shops@sobellhospice.org for an application form.
