They are located in the heart of Oxford’s shopping streets, but still near many of Oxford’s famous landmarks, including St Michael’s Saxon tower the oldest building Oxford practically next door.

Fraser's Budgens in Yarnton have chosen to support Sobell House Hospice Charity as their Charity of the Year for 2014 onwards. 

They have had one of our collecting cans since 2012 and through the generosity of their customers have already raised an amazing £746.37 for the hospice.

Malmaison Oxford have chosen to support Sobell House Hospice Charity as their local Charity.  The team at the hotel have supported us since 2009 in a variety of ways, including donating overnight stays as auction prizes, displaying posters, in-house fundraising and putting teams into our Golf Day.

This stunning Marco Pierre White restaurant is located on High Street in the centre of Oxford and serves an array of mouthwatering dishes.  The restaurant and bar offers something for everyone.

The restaurant has chosen us as their Charity of the Year for 2016 and will be raising money by donating a percentage of sales from their afternoon teas, through other in-house fundraising, as well as allowing us to use their space for some networking events.

OCDEM (Oxford Centre for Diabetes, Endocrinology & Metabolism) has chosen to support Sobell House with their workplace fundraising from 2012 to 2015. 

Dennis Carter from OCDEM said: “The reason we chose Sobell House  as our charity for this year was in memory of one of our colleagues, Steven Wiltshire, who passed away in August last year.

As part of his funeral arrangements it was stated that donations were invited in memory of Steven for the Hospice, so we thought it would be quite fitting to carry on this remembrance through our own fundraising activities”.

Oxford Gene Technology in Yarnton have been supporting Sobell House Hospice Charity as one of their nominated local charities since 2010.

They will be raising money through a number of inhouse events and activities.

Polythene UK chose Sobell House Hospice Charity as their nominated Charity in 2010 and have been supporting the Hospice regularly ever since.  The company is an award-winning supplier of polythene packaging materials based in Witney.

ProClean contacted us at the beginning of 2015 as they were interested in sponsoring our Lights of Love Service which is held in December every year at the Churchill Hospital.  The sponsorship provided will help towards some of the general costs of the event such as printing and postage. A group of armourer's at RAF Brize Norton have taken on SObell House as their chosen charity for 2015 on wards.  They plan to raise money in a variety of ways, including rowing events in supermarkets, a 24-hour spinathon and an ironing event, as well as volunteering at our events.

Four Sainsbury’s stores in Oxfordshire selected Sobell House to be one of a shortlist of at least three charities, and the public was then asked to vote in store and online for their Sainsbury’s charity of the year.  Sobell House was voted top charity by the customers of three out of the four stores in Kidlington, Headington and Summertown.

We are absolutely delighted to have been selected by the general public as Sainsbury’s Charity of the year at not only one store but three and would like to thank the customers who voted for the Hospice.

The stores hope that public support from Sainsbury’s customers will help to raise £10,000 over the next 12 months.

The Clarendon Centre in Oxford has chosen Sobell House Hospice as their Charity of the Year for 2014/2015 and we are really looking forward to working with them.

The Clydesdale & Yorkshire Bank

The Clydesdale & Yorkshire Bank partnership with Help the Hospices started in 2008.  

May 2010 saw the banks’ employees reach an incredible milestone of raising £1,000,000 in just over two years for Help the Hospices, and local hospices throughout the UK!

The banks’ employees have raised this tremendous amount – which includes a top up from the banks’ matched funding pot – through an array of fundraising activities, including midnight fun runs, marathons, quiz nights, abseils, and Santa dashes at Christmas. The fantastic efforts of the banks’ employees equate to raising an incredible £1,734 for each day of the partnership.

Many employees have also been hands on with their local hospice and have volunteered a total of 1,000 days, or 8,000 hours of their time across the year, to help out with various tasks such as garden make overs, helping with hospice mail shots, and marshalling at events.

Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks’ network of more than 340 head offices, branches and business centres are twinned with local hospices in their area. This allows employees to get involved with fundraising and volunteering for hospices in their local communities as well as on a national level.

We are delighted to have been chosen by the Midcounties Cooperative store in Botley, Oxford as their Charity of the Year for 2015. 

The store plan to raise funds for the hospice through a series of instore events such as a "Go Yellow" day, a Hawaiian weekend, a Halloween event and a Disney weekend.  The team are extremeley enthusistic and motivated by the cause and we are delighted to have the chance to work with them.

The Oxford Bus Company has chosen to support Sobell House Hospice Charity by donating lost property items to our charity shops. 

They also help us by advertising future events in their employee magazine. 

In the past the company also donated many months’ worth of uncollected passenger change, totalling £560.30!

Timbmet

Timbmet have been supporting our Lights of Love event by providing the tree since 1996.  The Lights of Love Service is held in December and a tree is erected at the Churchill Hospital covered in lights in memory of loved ones.  A short service is held near to the tree and guests have the opportunity to view the Books of Remembrance.
